Welcome!

*EDITED OCTOBER 2025:

Welp. I’m going to keep this welcome post up for now. Since the original post and me setting up this website, almost 3 years later: my original blog is no longer. We (the unpaid intern – aka my partner-in-crime) tried many MANY times to download all my content from my original blog. The file was massive (15+ years of content) and TypePad was absolutely no help in making it work. The unpaid intern even started writing a program to do all the work for us but it started to become a nightmare in terms of logistics and time involved, and we just couldn’t get it to work.

TypePad announced last month that it was ceasing operations and that we had untill September 30 to download our content. Great timing. I only found out about that with about a week’s notice (I wasn’t actually ever notified, I found out randomly on someone else’s social media post) during my busiest and heaviest workload of the year. Again I tried and wasn’t successful, and on the 30th not only did TypePad close, they wiped the servers completely. So all my content, all my work, my tutorials, photos etc, is now gone forever. It’s heartbreaking for me.

SO. WHAT NOW? I will be concentrating on THIS website as this is it. It’s mine and it’s all I’ve got. I’m slowly (ever so slowly – I am figuring out things as I go and honestly y’all it’s a slog. Chris helps a lot when he has a bit of free time – he works full time as well and the two of us have a lot on our plates) updating and changing things on here.

I finally figured out how to add the subscription button – you can find that on the sidebar on the main page HERE <—–click! I’ve also added an ABOUT ME page at the top, and an FYI/DISCLOSURE page. More will be added and tweaked over time! And of course all my other social media has stayed the same:

My YouTube Channel

My Facebook Page

My Instagram

My Patreon

ORIGINAL POST NOVEMBER 2022:

Hello friends! AmyR here – yes it’s me! Due to all the technical issues and whatnot with my previous blog that I was mentioning in my videos and on social I finally bit the bullet and did what I’ve been meaning to do for YEARS now. That is migrate to WordPress and set up my very own personal domain. My ultimate hope is that I can move all my previous posts to this as well but I am not sure as of posting this whether or not it will be possible. I’m not deleting the old blog so those posts SHOULD still be accessible for at least some time. This is all a major, major, HUGE work in progress so I hope you all will bear with me during this transition. Since I also lost a lot of the files I used for my previous blog design (that was a result of a computer crash a few years ago lol) I’m also updating things to add a little more color. Don’t be surprised if things change and move on here as I get it all figured out and set up how I want it. Stay tuned!!

As always thank you ALL for the support and well wishes and positive vibes. It means the world! ❤️
