I get asked a lot about where to purchase the supplies I use in my videos and blog posts. I list all the supplies I use at the end of my posts and in the description box directly below my video on YouTube. I also have an ongoing list of my Most-Used Tools HERE <—–click! Compensated affiliate links used when possible at no extra cost to you. What that means is when you click on one of my links and then you complete your order, I will receive a small percentage of the order. It does not add anything extra to your order, the store pays me that percentage. Affiliate linking is what keeps my website and YouTube channel up and running and enables me to work from home and provide for my children! I appreciate your support more than words can say!
I often (edited out “occassionally” – because let’s be honest it’s not an occasional thing when doing this as a full-time job) receive product for free from stores/brands/manufacturers with no obligation on my part to use/review – I only use and share what I personally love and want to create with. Everything else I purchase myself! I also receive payments from brands/stores/manufacturers in exchange for work (video content, class content, etc).
Just because a product is sent to me, or if I receive payment for work it in no way affects my opinions or what I choose to share with my audience. Some brands/stores will offer compensation for work – for example: a payment in exchange for a video featuring products from that brand. I am not told what I have to use, I have complete freedom and control of what I want to make, what I want to use, and what I want to say in my video/post/etc. In exchange for the content I worked to create I receive payment. Getting paid in this way helps a LOT to sustain my income and lessen my dependency on affiliate income. This in NO way taints my opinions, and does not devalue what I provide and the platform I have built. I will never accept payment from brands/stores/manufacturers that I don’t want to align with or promote, and I will never accept payment with “strings” (aka I will not accept payment if it meant I had to say certain things or promote something that I didn’t personally feel was a good fit for me or my audience. My integrity and honesty is more important than a paycheck). I may have received product and/or payment from brands/stores/manufacturers in the past that I no longer align with currently. My endorsement of any brand can change at any time, and just because I was affiliated with and/or paid by brands/stores/manufacturers in the past does not mean I endorse them for all time. I reserve the right to choose who or what I want to work with and who or what I want to endorse.
