Hey friends!! Happy STAMPtemberĀ®!!! Last night/early this morning I went LIVE on my YouTube channel and walked through the HUGE STAMPtemberĀ® release from Simon Says Stamp that kicks off this month-long party!

I am not a SSS employee or anything like that but I’ve been making content and participating in STAMPtemberĀ® for many years now and get a LOT of questions about it! ALSO – Heidi will be going live TOMORROW here on the SSS YouTube channel at noon EST and will walk everyone through all the things as well. There is also a blog post HERE with info.
What is STAMPtemberĀ®?
It’s a month-long party put on by Simon Says Stamp and it includes a big release of Simon’s own brand products (which will be restocked as needed and are part of their own line of products), limited-edition collaboration sets with many other crafty brands, Limited Edition card kits, Golden Bones and other surprises!
What are collab sets?
Simon Says Stamp partners with a BUNCH of crafty brands throughout the month and releases Limited Edition collaboration sets throughout. The first collab set goes LIVE on Sept 4 at NOON eastern time. All collabs will be released at noon EST on their set days! There is no “official” schedule of what brand collab is being released (it’s a surprise!) and there are some exceptions. On the 14th of the month is always the release of Simon’s monthly card kit (so no collab release that day), and some days there’s multiple collabs and some days are other fun surprises (Limited Edition kits etc). In previous years there have been a few Limited Edition kits made available – these are usually MUCH bigger than the monthly card kit and yes are Limited Edition (so once they sell out they’re gone and not restocked).
If a collab sells out will it be restocked?
No. They’re one and done. If it sells out it’s gone and won’t be restocked. And once September is over IF there are any left they’re removed from the site (speaking from my own observations there’s usually not much left at the end and what is left is pulled off and Heidi usually sneaks those into surprise boxes down the road – but again that’s just my observation). If you see something you love you grab it while you can! That said, the brands collaborating on these sets have PLENTY of products to choose from and each day there’s a new brand (or more) to highlight that has tons of things to choose from in similar style. That’s the whole point of the collab sets: to highlight all these crafty brands and show everyone what they bring to the table and maybe introduce new people that aren’t familiar with said brands.
ALSO – something I’ve observed: While Simon Says Stamp products on their site have a “notify me” option with every product (you can click on that with products that are out of stock and give your email address so that SSS can email you to notify you when that item is restocked) those do NOT work with collab sets. It’s a website function and can’t be “turned off” on the collab sets – so just be aware that if a collab sells out it’s gone. Using the “notify me” button with sold-out collab sets won’t do anything as they are not restocked.
Will you (me) have videos for every collab?
I try to! I started doing this a few years ago and making cards and videos for as many collabs as I possibly could. It’s a LOT of work between those videos and all my regular content but it’s a lot of fun, I enjoy it, and it’s my Christmas budget so it’s worth the extra work! As always we shall see what happens lol! I try to get each collab video up as soon as the collab is officially available – so at noon EST. I also do up posts here my YouTube channel and Facebook page each day that informs everyone of what’s available with (affiliate) links and a link to my video(s) if there is one, and update the new posts with any links to things not yet sold out. This is where my slight OCD shines LOL!
What’s a Golden Bone?
THAT is something special. Throughout the month SSS (usually Reed – y’all see and hear him in a lot of the live videos SSS does) goes into their warehouse and slips a Golden Bone (think golden ticket from Willy Wonka!) into a random package. If you place any Simon Says Stamp order throughout September you could end up with one! They’re slipping FOUR Golden Bones into random packages this month. If you get one there’s info on it telling you what you need to do. Winners of the Golden Bones will receive an assortment of products from every Simon Says Stamp release for an entire year!
Will there be free/discounted shipping?
That one I can’t answer as I don’t know! The last couple of years that was offered throughout September – and we shall see if there is anything like that this year! I assume we will receive and answer or know what’s going to happen during Heidi’s livestream tomorrow – and once I know I’ll be sure to let all of you know!
Negativity:
I know. But I’m going to address it because it needs to be. While the vast majority of my crafty peeps are awesome and I appreciate y’all more than words can say, there are a few who like to cause trouble. Whether it’s anger and frustration over a sold out collab set, or some other issue. I would like to remind people to be kind, it’s supposed to be FUN. There’s PLENTY of amazing inspiration and ideas and camaraderie that happens during STAMPtemberĀ® (it happens all year long in the cardmaking niche but this is that on steroids for September lol!) and a MASSIVE amount of people working behind the scenes (I’m only one maker – theres a ton of others as well as all the people behind the scenes maintaining things and packing orders etc etc etc).
I won’t tolerate any name-calling or nastiness and will delete and block anything like that that pops up. That applies across the board with my social media all the time but this time of year it can amp up a bit. Being upset and sometimes frustrated if something sells out before a person can snag it is a valid feeling (trust me I get it – it’s happened to me many times and it sucks so much). Going on a makers social media (or emailing the brand in question of the sold out collab to call names and threaten – because yes that’s happened in the past) and calling names and venting and threatening and causing ugly chaos is NOT OK. It doesn’t happen often but even once isn’t ok. I always like to say that MY peeps in my audience are stellar as are the vast majority of people in the cardmaking community. There’s a few who like to wallow in the negativity and try to spread it around but it won’t be tolerated on my end.
That said, I also share a LOT of content separate from the collabs and STAMPtemberĀ® – as do a ton of other makers! So there will continue to be plenty of inspiration and content around cardmaking that will appeal to all sorts of tastes (which is why I love what I do – OPTIONS folks!! Gotta have all of them and all the styles and all the variations. LOVE IT).
