Stamper, Blogger, YouTuber (95,000+ subscribers!), birthday cupcake-making queen, habitual coffee drinker…
“Why Prairie Paper & Ink?” I get asked that one often. Back when I started blogging in 2006 it was common to use a creative descriptor rather than a name for blogs, YouTube channels etc etc (some people even created fake names/personas as putting your REAL name on the internet was scary back then lol). I live on the Saskatchewan prairies, and I love to create with Paper and Ink: Prairie, Paper & Ink.
I was introduced to stamping in the summer of 2004 (21+ years ago!). I didn’t think much of it until I got my first set of stamps and started stamping and creating my own cards. It wasn’t long before I was hooked! Over the years I’ve used it as my source of therapy (and still do), my side job and now my full time+ career. It’s a lot of work but I love what I do.
I’m a work-at-home mom of 5 – what I do, I do for them <3.

I appreciate the thought and effort but I also don’t want people sending gifts hoping I will show and promote in videos (I used to do regular Happy Mail Haul videos but haven’t in a very long time as they became very overwhelming for me. I also have no control over the postal system and if a package was lost (it’s so rare for that to happen but I’ve had people get upset in the past that I didn’t show something that was sent) I can’t do anything).

I am a freelance content creator who makes mainly cards. Occasionally I will create other projects (banners, tags, home decor etc) but I stick to mostly cards as that’s what I love to make. I create a lot of video content for my YouTube channel and have also participated in online class structures as an instructor. I do weekly livestreams on my YouTube channel (we go live at 2pm CST on Sundays HERE), with occasional livestreams whenever I have the time or motivation.
I had a blog for MANY years (almost 20 years of content) under prairiepaperandink.typepad.com. The platform sold to another company several years ago, and became inconsistent and started crashing. After a major crash I started my own website using my name that I own outright. We tried for years to download all my previous blog content but were unsuccessful and in September of 2025 TypePad shut down completely and wiped their servers – AKA ALL of my years of work has been erased.
